The average Moorish warrior was armed with leather armour, a scimitar, a shortsword or broadsword and possibly a
javelin. Some of the more advanced elite men would have had crossbows.
One of the tactics used by Moorish armies was to feign retreats. This allowed them (if the enemies did the same as Marshall
Ney or Harald Godwinson's men) so that when the enemy men break off to chase them, the moorish soldiers would decimate
them.
